The Batam Concession Agency (BP Batam) has announced the temporary closure of Jl. Gadjah Mada (from Batam Center towards Sekupang) due to the commencement of Vista Road repairs.
The Head of the General Bureau of BP Batam, M. Taofan, stated that this policy was taken in order to support the implementation of road repair work in the Vista area, with the aim of improving infrastructure quality and user convenience.
“We inform all residents of Batam City that Jl. Gadjah Mada (from Batam Centre towards Sekupang) will be temporarily closed for the next 3 days.” Taofan said.
The closure will be in effect from Friday, 3 April 2026 to Sunday, 5 April 2026.
During this period, traffic flow will be diverted via an alternative route to Tiban with a contraflow scheme towards the Sei Ladi – UIB Fly Over.
Taofan further conveyed that this step was taken to improve the quality of the road for the comfort and safety of users.
“We urge the public to adjust their travel times, follow signs and directions from officers, and always prioritise safety while driving,” he said.
BP Batam appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the community during the repair process.
This effort is expected to provide better road conditions for all users.
