The Head of BP Batam, Amsakar Achmad, and the Deputy Head of BP Batam, Li Claudia Chandra, presented awards to strategic partners who have played a vital role in boosting economic growth and strengthening the investment ecosystem in Batam throughout 2025.

The award was presented to both of them at the prestigious event titled “Batam Investment Collaboration Appreciation 2026” at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Monday (16/3).

The Head of BP Batam, Amsakar Achmad, stated that this award is a form of gratitude and recognition for the synergy that has been built among all parties in maintaining the investment climate and promoting the economic progress of Batam.

According to him, cross-sectoral collaboration is a key element in creating a conducive, safe, and competitive investment ecosystem.

“On behalf of BP Batam, I express our gratitude and appreciation to the central and regional governments, vertical agencies, and all stakeholders who have contributed to maintaining the investment climate and driving Batam's economic progress,” he said.

Data from the Central Statistics Agency noted that Batam's economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025 reached 7.49%, a sharp increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, which was only 3.27%. This figure pushed Batam's economic growth for the year 2025 to reach 6.76%.

Meanwhile, investment realisation reached Rp 69.3 trillion, exceeding the annual target. This figure is in line with improving social achievements. In 2024, the poverty rate in Batam was recorded at 4.85 per cent or around 83,570 people. Meanwhile, in 2025, this figure successfully decreased to 3.81 per cent or around 68,040 people.

“These results show that the growth we have fostered together is not only reflected in economic figures, but its benefits are also increasingly being felt by the public,” he said.

Deputy Head of BP Batam, Li Claudia Chandra, added that through the Batam Investment Collaboration Appreciation 2026 moment, Batam's future can only be built through increasingly close, healthy, and strategic collaboration.

“Let's make today's achievements an inspiration and motivation for all of us to continue contributing to building a more advanced and modern Batam,” he concluded.
